Section outline


  • With this module, the student will examine the use of medications to treat the sick and injured.  Paramedics must have a fundamental knowledge of the medications they deliver to patients in prehospital emergency medicine. The student with gain general knowledge of pharmacological principles and the classifications of drugs. The student will also be introduced to the process of calculating appropriate doses through the use of medical math and the steps involved in administering the medications through a number of different routes.

Les travailleurs paramédicaux doivent avoir une connaissance générale des médicaments qu’ils administrent aux patients dans le cadre des soins d’urgence préhospitaliers.
